Winnie the Pooh is a much loved fictional teddy bear created by A. A. Milne in a series of stories in the 1920s about his son, the bear and the bear’s friends Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. The stories were originally illustrated by E. H. Shepard OBE and have since been translated into many languages.

The rights of the characters were licenced to Walt Disney in the early to mid 1960s and since then there have been many animated productions about them, engaging audiences and driving the popularity of the merchandise.

In 2018, the Disney movie adaptation, Christopher Robin took $200 million at the box office, catapulting the characters popularity. In the heart-warming movie, Winnie the Pooh says one of his book classic phrases, 'nothing is impossible but I do nothing everyday’. Its continued availability on Netflix ensures new fans of all generations are attracted to the licence with demand high for its beautiful soft toys.
